Smakolyk will help with diabetes

Smakolyk will help with diabetes

A person should eat what he needs.
He usually eats what he likes.
However, he stays healthy only
When he likes what he needs.

Pique, the ancient Greek physician, 200 BC.

The diet of a person living with diabetes does not have to be an exhaustive list of prohibited foods or a source of bitterness in terms of its inferiority.

If one follows the rules of a diet for diabetics, he or she can expect to succeed in controlling this serious disease.

An important rule is to consume an even distribution of carbohydrates throughout the day. Meals should be eaten frequently and in small portions, so that sugar enters the blood gradually.

Foods should contain proteins, fats, carbohydrates, minerals, and vitamins.

Depending on the content of carbohydrates, foods are divided into 3 groups:

  • does not contain carbohydrates: meat, fish, eggs, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach;
  • contains carbohydrates up to 10%: dairy products, beets, carrots, green beans, apples, pears, pumpkins;
  • is rich in carbohydrates: sugar, pastries.

Buckwheat and oatmeal are very healthy because they contain large amounts of natural dietary fibers, which are converted into fat to a lesser degree than other foods.

Juices from raw potatoes, fresh white cabbage, fresh fruit, raspberry, dogwood, and pear have hypoglycemic activity.

Vegetables and fruits should be a required component of the diet. They can be consumed as fresh juice, which we can quickly prepare in our café.

Yogurt and milk are consumed for lactose (milk sugar), which they have in a dissolved state, so it is absorbed easily and quickly. Every day Smakolyk makes delicious yogurt, to which we can add various flavors, among which the healthiest is green sprouts.

But we must always remember a little trick, yet a powerful weapon against diabetes – the amount of food is converted into bread units (12g carb). (The bartender has a conversion table.)

And then our menu will be varied, tasty and healthy!

To your health!
